Hey flower lovers and webtoon fans! Today I’m super excited to break down the mind-blowing ending of “Garden of the Dead Flowers” that got everyone talking. As someone who’s been following this series from the start, I can tell you the finale left me with ALL the feels Let’s dig into what actually went down!
The Story So Far: A Quick Recap
Before we jump into the ending here’s what you need to know
- Wisteria, our main character, mysteriously time travels from present day to a medieval period
- She lands in a world where humans and Seruni (vampire-like beings) are at war
- She befriends Prince Catharina while investigating mysterious murders
- Plot twist: Wisteria discovers she’s actually a Seruni herself!
The Big Revelations That Changed Everything
Okay, so here’s where things get CRAZY in the finale:
- Wisteria’s True Identity
- She was switched at birth with a human baby who died
- Her grandfather Orchid (a big shot Seruni leader) sent her to the past to protect her
- Talk about family drama, right?!
- The Real Killer
- Turns out it was Durijo (Wisteria’s childhood bestie) all along
- Poor guy was killing people for revenge (his family was killed by humans)
- Major heartbreak material
The Final Showdown
Things get super intense when:
- Durijo takes Prince Catharina hostage
- Wisteria has to make THE hardest choice ever
- She ends up using her Seruni powers to stop Durijo
- It’s basically the most emotional scene ever, I’m not crying you’re crying!
What Does The Ending Mean?
Let me break it down for you:
The Good Stuff
- Wisteria chooses to do what’s right over loyalty to her own kind
- She returns to the present and reunites with her grandpa
- There’s hope for peace between humans and Seruni
The Sad Parts
- Durijo dies (I’m still not over this tbh)
- The conflict isn’t totally resolved
- Some relationships are forever changed
Why The Ending Works
Here’s why I think this ending is actually perfect:
- It’s realistic – no fairy tale happy ending here
- Shows character growth – Wisteria really comes into her own
- Leaves room for interpretation
- Hits us right in the feels
Hidden Meanings in the Title
The whole “dead flowers” thing? Super clever when you think about it:
- Dead flowers = the hatred between humans and Seruni
- The garden = society that needs fixing
- But there’s always hope for new growth!
Final Thoughts
After 61 chapters of emotional rollercoaster, the ending of “Garden of the Dead Flowers” hits different. It’s not the happy ending we might’ve wanted, but it’s the meaningful ending we needed. Wisteria’s journey from confused time traveler to someone who makes the tough choices for the greater good? That’s character development done right!
I’d love to hear what you guys thought about the ending! Did you see the Durijo reveal coming? Were you Team Seruni or Team Human? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
P.S. If you’re still processing the ending like me, maybe we can cry together in the comments? Just saying!
